BRAND SOUTH AFRICA was established in August 2002. The primary mandate of the BRAND SOUTH AFRICA is to build South Africa’s nation brand reputation in order to improve South Africa’s global competitiveness. There are many benefits to having a consolidated brand image, with the most important being that a consistent Brand South Africa message creates strategic advantages in terms of trade and tourism for the country in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The BRAND SOUTH AFRICA also aims to build pride and patriotism amongst South Africans with the aim of uniting the nation by encouraging all South Africans to live the Nation Brand, and in so doing, define South Africanness.

The Gautrain

The Gautrain


The Gautrain offers commuters a safe, quick and comfortable way to commute in Gauteng between Johannesburg and Pretoria as well as between Sandton and the OR Tambo International Airport.

Gautrain currently offers two distinct train services: an Airport Service linking Sandton and Marlboro to the O.R.Tambo International Airport and a Commuter Service linking Rhodesfield, Marlboro, and Sandton (east-west link) and Park, Rosebank, Sandton, Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria Central and Hatfield (north-south link).

All stations with the exception of the Airport station have integrated car parking facilities.
