TN Mart is a fairly new entrant in the retail industry of Zimbabwe, focusing on Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). The company sells a wide range of consumer goods mainly groceries with more than 3000 lines on sell. It is a business unit of Lifestyle Holdings Limited.
TN Mart has managed to get a good market share using this new business strategy and it is expected to increase rapidly. TN Mart has a credit facility which allows customers who have bought furniture from TN Harlequin Luxaire to buy groceries on a 30 day credit period. This has set TN Mart apart in the market and has increased its customer base.
The range of products targets low to high income earners. The location which is close to fourth street bus station gives TN Mart an influx of customers that use the terminus.
TN Mart has an executive lounge which caters for high spenders who do not enjoy the stress of walking on a shop floor to shop for groceries, but instead delegate to TN Mart employees to conduct shopping on their behalf whilst they sip on a cup of coffee in the executive lounge.
Unlike other supermarkets in the city centre, TN Mart has free parking space for its valued customers.
TN Mart is in the process of doing a facelift to the 14 retail sites which are being rented from Rufaro Marketing. The first point of entry before launching fully fledged supermarkets is to open wholesale shops where TN Mart will concentrate on selling bread, vegetables, and basic commodities such as flour, sugar, cooking oil and bar soaps. This will assist TN Mart in financing its strategy on converting these sites into supermarkets.
